Content Marketing Specialist for B2B and SaaS Companies

In the last four years, I have authored multiple Google first-page articles, improved web traffic by up to 200%, deployed customer-focused content strategies that exceeded sales projections by 80%, and so on. But there’s more to my story than that.

My Story

Before I officially carved out a niche for myself in content marketing, I discovered my passion for writing and storytelling at 13. Cliché? Yeah, I know. The only electronic gadget I could really call my own back then was a tiny little 5-inch smartphone that my family used to reach me when they needed to. So, no computer-assisted writing for me unfortunately. Still, I was incredibly happy filling out all 60+ pages of my spare notes with what I soon realized was teen fiction. I showed it to a bunch of my friends and they all seemed to love it, including that one girl who never did return the only copy of one of my handwritten short stories.

Fast-forward to 2018. I was older and wiser-ish. I landed my first content role – an actual opportunity to use my writing to inspire customer action and drive business growth. Not gonna lie, I was incredibly psyched and I relished every word I typed into that ol’ CMS, even though it did take a while to figure out its bells and whistles. As I often do, I learnt quickly and, between then and now, I’ve worked with much larger companies across the world and I’ve occupied equally larger roles. I’ve also been published on Business Insider Africa, planned and executed a content strategy that led to an 80% increase in revenue and collaborated on a project that generated 115,000 views and engagements.

My Story

The Person. The Interests. The Name.

Today, I’m still just as psyched to help SaaS brands and B2B companies offering digital services to achieve their marketing goals.

But when I’m not doing that, you’ll likely find me burying my face in a good fictional book. Some non-fictional ones aren’t too bad either. Shout out to Mark Manson in that regard.

Alternatively, you’ll find me button-mashing my way out of every boss battle in any given video game or streaming Spotify’s recommended playlists for eight straight hours. The algorithm is surprisingly good at finding what you like. But, I don’t suppose my neighbors always enjoy listening to me switch between Ludovico Einaudi, Andrew Hozier-Byrne, and Aurora Aksnes for that long.

That said, in case you were curious about the name, I’ll split it in two. My own name – Segun – roughly translates to Victor. The company name, Beagital, is a combination of two words – Beacon + Digital. If you’re familiar with sea travel or have just seen enough movies with ships, you’ll probably know that beacons help to guide sailors on their journey, especially at night or during storms. Similarly, my humble mission is to use thoughtful content to guide your customers to your brand as the solution to their problems in today’s vast digital ocean.
